Brow Pre procedure care:

Eat a meal rich in carbohydrates before coming to your appointment

No heavy exercise on the day of your appointment

Active skincare ( for example exfoliating acids and retinol) should be avoided at least 4 weeks before treatment.

Moisturise the area twice a day for the week before treatment.

Any tinting or lamination should be conducted 48 hours before treatment.

Avoid heavy drinking and caffeine consumption in the 48 hours before treatment.

Please make sure you have received and completed your patch test AT LEAST 24 hours before your appointment.

Brow Aftercare:

ONLY TOUCH WITH CLEAN HANDS

Do NOT pick the scabs

Keep your hair OFF the fresh wounds

Do NOT touch the fresh tattoo unless you are cleaning them (as directed below)

Do NOT apply makeup on or around them until the scabs have fallen off

Avoid soaking them in water until the scabs have fallen off

Keep them protected from UV with a wide brimmed hat

Avoid any sauna/swimming/heavy exercise until the area has completely healed.

Day 1 – Blot GENTLY with your aftercare wipes every 30 minutes until bedtime to remove excessive lymph and prevent heavy scabbing.

At bedtime, blot them again and apply half a grain of rice amount of your aftercare cream to the brows once dry.

Day 2-7 – Blot GENTLY twice a day with your aftercare wipes and apply a half grain of rice amount of your aftercare cream to the brows once dry.

Remember to allow your brows to fully AIR dry before applying aftercare cream.

Aftercare is key to the healing of your cosmetic tattoo and must be strictly followed. If you pick the scabs you will lose colour and will be liable to pay for additional retouches (yes we can tell!)

A white halo of blanching around the area is normal and will subside within a few hours. Swelling is also normal and should subside within 48 hours. In some cases there may be slight bruising. This should last no longer than 1 week.

Remember your colour will be darker and more prominent for 5-7 days on average. This may be followed by a period in which the brows appear to lose their colour, known as “ghosting”. Please allow 6-8 weeks for the colour to settle before judging the healed result.
